Pet Coins come from the Dungeon, Pet Coins buy Pet Eggs, and equipped pets give bonuses such as extra Ant Speed.
The Dungeon and Pet Coins
When the 'Dungeon has appeared' notification shows up, run it: the Dungeon is where Pet Coins come from. Pet Coins buy Pet Eggs, and a hatched pet equips for a passive bonus such as increased Ant Speed.
Pet Eggs and pets
Spider Egg is the one egg name we can confirm from two independent sources so far. Egg lineups and per-pet stats are not published by the developers yet, so this section fills in as sources agree - we do not guess.
Where pets fit
Pets are their own system, separate from worker ants and mounts. Build your food economy first, then chase pet progression on the side - pet bonuses are a multiplier on an economy that has to exist first.
